Florida Motorcycle Legislative Update

Every year in Tallahassee bills circulate through the legislative process that could potentially impact all motorcyclists. Whether related to “motorcycle only” checkpoints, cell phone usage or other issues that may be detrimental to our interests, it’s important that we have a legislative watchdog. Fortunately for us, that watchdog is ABATE.

Our fellow member, Curtis Alva, serves as President of the Palm Beach Chapter of ABATE. Curtis and his legislative associates, Dan “Slo Mo” Henderson and Amanda “Derby Girl” Stout will be at our next meeting to bring us up to speed (slowly in Dan’s case) on what’s going on in Tallahassee as it relates to our favorite pastime, motorcycling. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand about the current legislative topics that are important to our sport.
