INFO: (Initial announcement)

1. The Gold Coast Beemers had an amazing time last year (May 2017) getting away as a group for a weekend up to quaint Mount Dora, FL, riding a wonderful set of scenic, curvy routes (especially for Florida) crafted by our (now) Vice President, Sir Lawrence of Karnik. We were blessed with numerous riders of the female persuasion last year (on their own bikes and on pillion seats), so it was not just a male-only crowd, thank heavens.

2. Accommodations in the Mt Dora area will be at the same location as last year (same hotel, different name): ‘Comfort Inn & Suites’ in Tavares, FL. The hotel management was exceptionally friendly to all of us last year despite all the damage we caused (just kidding), and we’ve reserved 20 rooms (10 w/King beds & 10 w/2xQueen beds) for a rate of $90/night as a start. We will need to make solid reservations or forfeit the rooms by Sat, 17 Mar 2018. *It’s time to book your rooms!!*
To book a room, members call (352) 253-2378 and specifically mention “Gold Coast Beemers” (If needed, our “Group Account” is 3223396: manager is “Matthew”)
IMPORTANT: Please indicate ‘2’ for number of guests in each room (regardless if there are more) or an automatic charge of an additional $10 fee per person will be assessed.
Cancellations: Once booked, MUST be made 1 day/24 hrs in advance of 1600/4 PM East Coast/Local time to avoid a cancellation penalty.
3. Formal Dinner (Saturday night): A large room for 40 has been reserved at ‘Pisces Rising’, the wonderful restaurant we used last year. Fantastic food, superlative service, great ambience. A $30/per person menu will be provided in a future e-mail. Let’s try to leave the restaurant silverware there this time, guys. Transportation to/from the formal dinner will be provided by the same company used last year (approximately $11/person), and will allow us to enjoy ourselves without worrying about riding/driving that evening.

4. Return to home: Check out is Sunday morning, 8 April 2018–Once checked out, the ride back home is informal, at your convenience. Grab a riding wingman leaving concurrently, and depart at your leisure on the route, time and speed of your choosing.
